Ncell Single Retail System preview

Ncell Single Retail System

Digitizing field retail operations for onboarding, SIM activation, and sales workflows

UX Designer – Case Study – 2025

Problem

Ncell's existing field operations relied heavily on fragmented communication channels and manual paperwork, leading to operational bottlenecks in customer onboarding and SIM activation. Field agents lacked a centralized dashboard to track their sales targets or manage inventory efficiently. This reliance on analog processes resulted in frequent data discrepancies and a reactive, rather than proactive, sales workflow.

Solution

Designed a unified mobile retail system for field agents, organized around three product goals:

  • →Ensure Regulatory Compliance — Digitized SIM registration and onboarding flows so agents can complete compliant activations without paper-based workarounds.
  • →Improve Readability — Clarified hierarchy, spacing, and task labels so dense operational screens stay scannable in the field.
  • →Modular Architecture — Built a flexible UI framework that can absorb new value-added services without breaking the core navigation or visual system.

Impact & Outcome

The redesign replaced fragmented analog work with a standardized daily workflow for retailers and a clearer path for new customers.

  • →User-Centric Navigation — Bottom navigation and a grid-based home screen prioritize the most frequent retailer tasks, reducing the cognitive load required to find essential functions.
  • →Scalability — The design system creates a modular framework flexible enough to accommodate Ncell's growing list of value-added services (VAS) without breaking the visual hierarchy.
  • →Reduced Friction — By digitizing the registration process, the app significantly lowers the barrier to entry for new customers and standardizes the retailer's daily workflow.

OTT / IPTV Admin Panel

UX rationale for redesigning a cluttered admin panel around clarity, efficiency, and scalability

UX Designer – UX Rationale – 2025

Problem

The existing OTT/IPTV admin panel was cluttered and hard to scan, slowing internal staff down across dashboard monitoring, content publishing, and support triage. Critical signals competed with secondary UI, publishing lacked a safe draft path, and ticket status was difficult to read at a glance — creating frustration and avoidable errors as the platform scaled.

Solution

The goal was to redesign the admin experience to improve clarity, efficiency, and scalability for internal staff — a clean, straightforward panel that helps the team work faster with less friction.

  • →Clarity — Surface the most important metrics and urgent issues first so admins know where to focus immediately.
  • →Efficiency — Streamline content entry and support triage with live preview, guided forms, and status-based layouts.
  • →Scalability — Use a simple card-based system so new features and data can be added without cluttering the interface again.

Impact & Outcome

The rationale prioritizes faster comprehension and safer workflows across the three core admin areas.

  • →Dashboard — Large KPI typography for Total / Active / Inactive users, red-highlighted urgent actions for downtime or critical issues, and clear visualizations like Top 5 Most Watched Shows.
  • →Content — Live content preview while editing, guided data entry with clear constraints, and separate Save Draft vs Publish actions to prevent unfinished content going live.
  • →Support — Column layouts for Open / Pending / Closed tickets, fast search and assign controls, and top-level metrics (wait time, average resolution) for workload visibility.

Accessibility-first mobile case study connecting people with disabilities in Nepal to legal aid

Lead Product Designer – Case Study – 2024

Problem

In Nepal, people with disabilities face a dual burden: social stigma and a lack of accessible legal resources. While legal aid exists, digital gateways are often text-heavy, complex, and incompatible with assistive technologies — so the path to justice ends before it begins for users who rely on screen readers.

Solution

Nyaya Sathi (Justice Companion) is a digital accessibility initiative for Access Planet that connects people with disabilities to pro-bono legal support. The product was built with an accessibility-first methodology so users can register, learn their rights, and request aid independently via screen readers and voice-over.

  • →Safety-First Workflow — Moderated user–admin communication; sensitive cases can be reported with privacy safeguards before assignment to a lawyer.
  • →Minimize Visual Dependency — Large touch targets, plain language, read-aloud support, and screen-reader-ready labels across the journey.
  • →Bilingual Access — Full English / Nepali support so legal information is usable in local context.

Impact & Outcome

The case study prioritizes inclusive access and safer legal help-seeking for visually impaired and other disabled users.

  • →A11y Implementation — High-contrast WCAG-oriented typography, haptic/audio confirmation cues, and every control verified for screen-reader compatibility.
  • →Validation Insight — Testers struggled with deep menus and unlabeled icons; core actions were moved to a high-contrast home grid and icon alt-text was fixed so navigation is no longer invisible to TalkBack.
  • →Key Product Beats — Role-based registration, color-coded case status (Pending / Verified / Rejected), FAQ for legal topics, and online seminar request flows.
